I knit because I need to feel something.

The knitting internet still has a beige problem — same five patterns, same five neutrals, every week. I got bored and started posting what I actually loved. Turns out a lot of people were bored too. Purl Pressure is where that goes now: Weekly Obsessions, color tools, and more in the works.

It started as a portfolio.
It became a lifeline.

I wanted to test knit for designers and needed something to show I was real. Then my chronic illness got worse and I found myself home more than I’d planned. Purl Pressure stopped being a side project and started being the thing that kept me sane. Community, creativity, a reason to keep going. I’m neuro-spicy and I need to be doing something that makes me feel something or I will absolutely climb the walls.

Trendy, but make it
last.

My taste is all over the place and I’m not sorry about it. Dynamic, eclectic, a little charismatic — I want things that feel current and things I know will still be right in five years. Sometimes that’s the same thing. I pay attention to trends because I genuinely love watching them happen, and I’m good at knowing which moments are worth more than a season. If I’m putting it in front of you, it passed that test.

I build things when nothing else fits.

I’m an engineer by trade and that brain doesn’t quiet down just because I’m holding yarn. There’s a tool in the works. More soon.

Say hi.

DMs are open on Instagram. Tag me if you knit something I obsessed over. That’s the whole point.
